The novelty in introduction of a law in the nature of GST having pooled sovereign powers from Centre and State together necessitated the need for a novel body to adjudicate disputes arising therefrom. After much conundrum and a long hiatus, this need finally seems to be meeting its destination as the GSTAT has begun to materialize. Time is ripe for the taxpayers to gear up for this next stage of litigation under GST. With this, several key industry issues are expected to be put to rest.
