First phase of E-Invoicing system was implemented w.e.f. October 1, 2020 for taxpayers having aggregate turnover of Rs. 500 crores or more. After successful implementation of first phase, Government is eying to implement second phase w.e.f. January 1, 2021 to cover taxpayers having aggregate turnover of ₹ 100 crores or more. With this, a large number of taxpayers will be covered under E-Invoicing ambit.
