Article 59 – “Common portal under GST – Something which is Uncommon!” 

In order to provide reliable, efficient and robust IT Backbone for the smooth functioning of the Goods & Services Tax regime, Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) – a unique and complex IT initiative was established. GSTN helps taxpayers to prepare, file returns, make payments of indirect tax liabilities and undertake other compliances. It seems while GSTN is being used for various functions under GST but lacks legislative backing for certain compliances.

Through this article, our Associate Director, Mr. Gaurav Narula has tried to highlight such misses by Government while notifying ‘Common Portal’ under GST.
