International Trade Law Update #5:
No Anti-Subsidy Duty on Clear Float Glass exported from Malaysia:
On March 30, 2021, Ministry of Finance issued notification deciding not to impose Anti-Subsidy Duty on import of Clear Float Glass despite positive recommendation of DGTR.
MOF has failed to provide any reasoning for not imposing Ant-Subsidy Duty. Non-imposition is even more given that MOF imposed Anti-Dumping Duty on the same goods exported from Malaysia vide notification dated November 11, 2020.
