On April 26, 2021, Ministry of Finance has issued two separate notifications pursuant to anti-circumvention investigation conducted by DGTR in respect of ADD imposed on imports of Polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE) from China & Russia respectively.

Notification No. 25/2021-Customs (ADD) – Amends Notification No. 36/2017-Customs (ADD) to include PTFE products i.e. Rod, Sheet, Tape, Tube, Thread seal tape (TST) as part of product scope subject to ADD levy along with normal PTFE, originating in from China PR & exported from any country.

Notification No. 24/2021-Customs (ADD) – Amends Notification No. 23/2016-Customs (ADD) [as amended by No. 22/2017-Customs (ADD)] to additionally cover imports of PTFE originating in or exported from Korea RP, over and above imports originating in or exported from Russia.
