On April 27, 2021, Ministry of Finance has issued Notification No. 28/2021-Customs (ADD) to impose ADD on ‘Toluene Di-Isocyanate (TDI) having isomer content in the ratio of 80:20′ imported from European Union, Saudi Arabia, Chinese Taipei and United Arab Emirates for a period of 5 years w.e.f December 02, 2020.

The provisional ADD imposed earlier vide notification No. 43/2020-Customs (ADD) dated December 02, 2020 has been rescinded vide separate notification no. 27/2021-Customs (ADD).

If the definitive ADD is more than the provisional ADD, the differential duty will not be collected. However, if definitive ADD is less than the provisional ADD, the differential duty is entitled for refund.
