Finance Ministry rejects anti-dumping duty on import of Copper Flat Rolled Products – International Trade Law Update #45

by | Jul 8, 2021 | Trade Law Updates

On July 2, 2021, DGTR published Office Memorandum issued by Ministry of Finance informing its decision to not impose anti-dumping duty (ADD) on imports of Copper and Copper Alloy Flat Rolled Products from China PR, Korea RP, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

DGTR vide final findings dated April 16, 2021 recommended imposition of ADD ranging between USD 42/MT and USD 1,077/MT, however, Ministry of Finance still decided not to impose ADD on the above products. Yet again, no reasons have been provided for rejecting the positive findings of DGTR.
