On July 14, 2021, DGTR published Office Memorandum issued by Ministry of Finance informing its decision to not impose anti-dumping duty (ADD) on imports of Flat Rolled products of Stainless Steel from China PR, Korea RP, European Union, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, USA, Thailand, South Africa, UAE, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
DGTR vide final findings dated December 23, 2020 recommended imposition of ADD ranging between USD 67/MT and USD 944/MT, however, Ministry of Finance still decided not to impose ADD on the above products. Yet again, no reasons have been provided for rejecting the positive findings of DGTR. This is the 10th time in 2021 that Ministry of Finance has rejected DGTR’s positive findings.
