Article 75 – “RoDTEP – Dropped from the sky, stuck on a tree!”
In a landmark move aiming to bolster exports and offering a sigh of relief to exporters, the Government notified much-awaited export scheme, the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (‘RoDTEP Scheme’). With data being solicited from industry, it was expected that a well driven beneficial scheme will be enacted. However, RoDTEP Scheme is within framework of an air-tight budgeted outlay, which infers that if India’s exports exceed Government’s estimates, then exporters will get lesser benefit.
