On August 19, 2021, DGTR issued Final Findings recommending imposition of anti-dumping duty on import of Polyester Yarn from China, Indonesia, Nepal and Vietnam. Polyester Yarn is used in knitting and weaving to make fabrics for garments and home furnishing.

Recently Ministry of Finance has rejected positive recommendations by DGTR on imports of Viscose Spun Yarn originating from China, Indonesia and Vietnam. Considering the recent trend, it will be interesting to watch whether Ministry of Finance accept / reject recommendation to impose anti-dumping duty in this case.
